SOMETHING TO LOVE

Part of what I love about some of the blessings of life, is that we get to wake up.  Sometimes we open our eyes, put our feet on the ground and have absolutely no idea what the day will bring forward. S ure, we have schedules, we have plans, we have ideas of where we'll show up and sometimes even to where the path will lead us. But there's always an in between.  There's a smile with a stranger, there's that unexpected text from a friend far off, there's good news, and sometimes, bad news too.  It's life.  We all have it and for who knows have long. I swear that as long as there's a beating heart in my chest and  breath in my lungs , I'm going to love it and make something of it, with all I've got.

BELIEVE, AND IT WILL BE

For some people, networking comes naturally. For others, sometimes it just doesn’t.  Though I’ve often been complimented on my “cool-as-a-cucumber” demeanor, I often feel the exact opposite inside. Yet, what this type of feedback has taught me is that, with a few mindful check-ins and a consistent practice of self-compassion, it really is possible to trick others, as well as yourself, into thinking you’re a natural at networking.  If nothing else, it's just a way to practice trusting yourself. And when you come to think of it, that is way more important than any networking event in itself.

UPWARDS & ONWARDS

We're all growing and moving and being.  Each one of us.  I keep reminding myself that there's no scale and no measure of age vs time vs accomplishment.  We're all moving on our own timeline. So here's to growing up. Or out. Or in.  You've got this. I've got this. We've got this. Upwards and Onwards!
